During the winter, I am always on a search to find the perfect elixir for my dry hair. Bitter winds + sleet + wool hats = an unhappy mane. I usually make my own concoctions, but occasionally I like to splurge on natural products. I recently discovered the perfect panacea: Castor and Moringa Softening Serum by Qhemet Biologics.

I have been a fan of Qhemet Biologics for years, because of the quality of its products and excellent customer service. My hair absolutely loves oils, so after seeing this product, I decided to give it a try.

This Serum has been the cure-all for my winter hair maladies. It has become my multi-purpose product. I previously shared the benefits of castor oil here. Moringa oil is made from the seeds of the Moringa Oilefera tree, native to Africa and India. It has been used by African and Asian cultures for centuries for its healing and cosmetic value. As noted on Qhemet Biologics’ website, moringa oil also has natural cleansing properties. Thus, I use the Serum to wash my hair instead of shampoo. It makes my hair remarkably soft. After applying a conditioner, I then massage the Serum through my hair, leaving it incredibly well-moisturized. (It does have a thick consistency, so a little goes a long way.)
