A few years ago, I searched to find the perfect soap. I wanted something SLS-free of course, that would not dry the skin. I happened to discover soaps from Rawganique.com and have been a loyal customer ever since.

Why do I love this soap? Let me count the reasons….

  • The soaps are handmade from artisans in Canada.  It is gratifying to know that the soap that nourishes the most delicate part of your body is made individually with care, not in a vat in some factory.
  • The scents are heavenly. The soaps will delight your olfactory senses:  Tea Tree Purify, Lavender des Jardins, Citrus Lover,  and Sassy Lemongrass (my favorite!) to name a few.
  • The ingredients are 100% pure. The bars consist of certified organic vegetable and essential oils, using recipes that have been passed down for generations. None of the bad stuff that most commercial cleansers have. It also contains hemp oil, one of the best skin conditioners known to man.

Hemp oil has been renowned throughout history for its natural cleansing and moisturizing properties and has been used in beauty products for years. (Don’t worry, this industrial hemp has been approved for use in products in U.S. There is nothing illicit about its use.) For more information on hemp oil, click here.

There is one caveat, however: this soap is not cheap. You can, however, get discounts for buying multiple bars, and the soap lasts a long time. (A box of bars in my household lasts for months). It also makes an excellent gift for someone who deserves a little TLC. (Ladies, forward this post to your significant others, hint hint). ;-)

That’s all for now. I’m off to indulge my skin with Rawginique’s Balms of the Garden.

What type of soap has worked best for your skin?

  1. This stuff looks great. How much is it though..really? (Maybe I’ll ask for it as a gift!)

  2. It is $6 a bar ($5 if you buy multiples), but it lasts twice as long as store bought soap, so it balances out. I’m rather thrifty, so that says a lot coming from me, lol.

  3. I have been using the natural soap from Oregon Soap Company. I get that at Mountain Rose Herbs and so far I love them. Clean simple soaps, nice natural fragrance. My favorite I think is oatmeal honey, no the lavender oatmeal, lol. $3.75 for a nice sized bar (not overly big like Kiss My Face bars)The bars don’t melt away like other natural bars do as quickly. I do keep it in the soap dish so it can drain and dry. Never find them drying for my skin, leaves the slightest scent not over powering. I like that very much. http://bit.ly/9iiDLq

  4. Wow, I am definitely going to try those out. I haven’t ordered from Mountain Rose Herbs before, but those soaps are very reasonable. Thanks for the suggestion!
